According to a poll conducted by POLLARA, 89% of Canadians asked are concerned about driver distractions including cellphone use, text messaging, eating, PDA’s, DVD players and CD’s. However, the survey also found that even when told cellphone use makes drivers four times more likely to be in a collision, 60% were unwilling to eliminate this distraction.

The Insurance Bureau of Canada (IBC) launched a public education campaign designed to remind drivers both novice and experienced, to avoid distractions while operating their vehicle.
